Want to live a more purpose driven life? Here are 4 keys to guide you in achieving your goal: DRESS TO BE APPROPRIATELY ADDRESSED A top HR manager once said to me “God sees the internal content but we see the external appearance first.” The way you dress creates a psycho-mental image of you in the mind of the beholder. It dictates how the person addresses you, how much respect he/she accords you and how seriously what you have to say is taken. ESTEEM YOURSELF CORRECTLY Let’s correct a misconception here. Self-esteem is not pride. It simply means you are conscious of your self-worth. So don’t let anyone talk down on you destructively this year. BE SELECTIVE TO BE PRODUCTIVE Focus is one of the most vital elements for success. You are not God, you cannot do everything. This year, be more selective. Know your activities. Don’t be like a gyroscope that just spins around without purpose. LIVE BY DESIGN NOT BY DEFAULT It amazes me to discover that a lot of people actually pass through the process of a whole day without a plan for how to spend it. Such people are like an open window in the wind. They are continually tossed in different directions by the happenings around them, so they are easily influenced by people, going to places and doing things they ordinarily wouldn’t. Your daily life shouldn’t be a 24-hour freestyle, put some order in your life. Have a plan. Follow the plan. At the end of each day evaluate how productive you were. You would be amazed. Focus your energies on things that are important. To do this you have to understand where you are headed in life i.e your purpose and then act accordingly. Purpose is crucial here because it’s the pointer to what’s beneficial because certain good things may not be beneficial to you. A footballer will always spend more time training on the pitch than reading books. I know you get the picture.   About the Writer:  Aderonke Osinoiki is a writer.
