Most people like to dress casually because it’s simple, convenient and easy to put together. You probably prefer flats to heels or dot earrings rather than bold ones. That’s fine, and there’s nothing wrong with it, as long as you draw the line between being casual and being just plain lazy and careless with your dressing.
We all have days when we say – Nope, not today, if it requires looking for what to wear, mix and match, together with make-up, today won’t work – you would rather sit around the house instead of going through that unnecessary drama.
The good news is that fashion has come a long way and is no longer stiff and boring. You can rock denim jeans and a shirt with a blazer and slip-on sneakers and you’re off to work, casual but fun, right? Well, this season, it’s all about having a laid-back vibe that still pulls your style together in a comfortable way.
Here are ideas on how to be stylish and fabulous while maintaining your casual, comfortable you.
The key to pulling off an all- black casual ensemble but still look stylish is by jazzing your dressing up with a statement piece – could be with the jewelries (radiant earrings, fancy necklaces, tiny sparkly bangles, simple classic wrist watches) or other details with bright colours; dainty handbags, nude classic pumps, chic clutch purse, cute nail polish, bold lipstick, they go a long way to transform your look.
If you want to upgrade your look from casual to formal yet remain comfy, then you need to add to your plain tee and jeans an elegant blazer with a cool pair of sneakers or wedges.

Shift gowns are pretty casual. Elevate the look by pairing with a pointy ballet flat, slip-on sneakers, a chic clutch purse and preppy sun-shade, or you could always wear with pointy heels. It’s amazing how little things can inject glamour to an entire outfit.

Chiffon tops and dresses are meant to be fun and playful, so don’t downplay them further to look plain old’ boring. If you’re going with flats; pair them with plush mini-bags to give your outfit an edge with cute accessories. If you’re going with heels; classic pumps, strap heels, and stilettos are perfect.
