Hotels.ng, Nigeria’s leading hotel booking company has rolled out a new service – online flight bookings – on its website (www.hotels.ng/flights). This new service has been designed to provide its users from all over the world with an affordable and an all-inclusive travel platform from where all their travel arrangements can be made.
Mark Essien, the company’s CEO described the inclusion of affordable flight solutions as a move that provides more value to travellers and Hotels.ng users, and a natural and logical diversification that will help to consolidate the company’s presence in Nigeria.
In his words “The addition of the flight feature is a logical next step for us as it helps our users do more on just one platform. Now, in addition to booking affordable hotels, they can make affordable flight reservations and bookings on the same Hotels.ng platform that users have come to trust.” “For us,” he continues, “this new feature reaffirms us as a competitive player in the Nigerian Online Travel Agency (OTA) industry.”
The release of the flight booking service as a complement to the company’s core offering follows a pattern of product releases that are aimed at creating a wholesome travel experience for our users. In addition to the company’s instructive and engaging travel blog, Hotels.ng recently announced spots.ng – a platform for discovering great locations across Nigeria and opening the country’s best spots to the world.
With the roll out of flights on our platform, Hotels.ng is bringing the same technological innovation that they brought into hotel bookings to flights. This move will affect the way the Nigerian traveller approaches travel henceforth as it provides a cheaper, more inclusive, and an easier alternative to solutions that existed in the past.
Coupled with our offerings on spots.ng where we show Nigeria to the world, enabling affordable flights into the country and within has the potential of achieving one of our goals – showcasing Nigeria to the world, and growing local tourism.
In the weeks that follow, Mark Essien promised, updates shall be made to the feature to keep satisfying users’ needs and to establish Hotels.ng as an all-inclusive and the one true OTA in Nigeria.
