The agency in charge of such matters as noise pollution in Lagos for instance is the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and in recent years, the agency has ramped up its efforts in fulfilling its stated mandate closing down offending establishment for reasons ranging from noise pollution to poor maintenance of their environment. Furthermore, since 2014, the Lagos State government has commemorated “no horns day” on the 14th of October every year.
To report a noise complaint, call the agency via their phone hotlines, +234 815 045 8639 or +234 815 045 8638. You could reach them through their e-mail addresses, info@lasepa.gov.ng or pro@lasepa.gov.ng. The agency has its head office at the Lagos Secretariat, Governor’s Road, Alausa, Ikeja. They also have a zonal office at Ikorodu.

If you happen to live outside Lagos, however, look out for the environmental protection agency or the state ministry of the environment within your state of residence as some states merge the functions of waste management and other environmental concerns into one agency.
