Happy Birthday to a phenomenal superstar, 2Face! The popular crooner and voice behind some of our favourite hits – African Queen, True Love and Implication, just to name a few – turns the big Four O (40) today. As you may or may not know by now, he is set on celebrating his birthday in a big way this Sunday with a biography and concert themed Fortyfied in the works. We are so excited about the lineup and can’t wait to see what else is in store for us this year. Think you know 2Face well enough? Find out even more about him with these fun trivia facts:   1. His real name is Innocent Idibia. 2. He was born in Jos, Plateau State but is originally from Benue with Idoma origins. 3. He dropped out of the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, where he was pursuing a Diploma in Business Administration, to follow his music passion. 4. His stage name 2Face (or TuFace) was coined in an attempt to separate his personal from his professional life. 5. He was a member of the popular boy trio, Plantashun Boys with members Blackface (Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo) and Faze (Chibuzor Oji). 6. He released his debut album Face 2 Face after the group’s split in 2004. 7. He has received significant recognition internationally, with his song African Queen being used as the American film, Phat Girlz’s soundtrack and as a member of the Sony All African One8 Project by R. Kelly and Prince Lee that released the single, Hands Across The World. 8. He married his long-time sweetheart, Annie in 2012. 9. He has won several accolades over the years,both locally and internationally: an MTV Europe Music Awards, four MTV Africa Music Awards, one World Music Award, five Headies Awards (formerly Hip-Hop World Awards), four Channel O Music Video Awards and a BET award. 10. He is a philanthropist, serving humanity with his NGO, 2Face Idibia Reach-Out Foundation. He is also an International Youth Ambassador for Peace.
