Guaranty Trust Bank Plc., as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, supports child healthcare under its Orange Ribbon Initiative. An important part of this initiative is the support for children with developmental disabilities, especially children living with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). This awareness and intervention programme is held annually and the 5th edition will hold from 30th June – 10th, 2015. The 2015 autism programme includes a 2-day conference on 30th June and 1st July and a 7-day one-on-one consultation service with specialists, for children living with Autism. The 2-day autism conference is themed ‘Bridging Gaps and Transforming Lives’ and will encompass a broad array of learning and discussion which includes helping individuals with special needs participate in the political process, social justice education quality and access to technology, behaviour training and management of autism, the need for good diagnosis and design of treatment, teaching non-verbal children functional communication etc. VENUE: MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
