IBT Group, a multinational group that specializes in the development of public works and the integration of construction equipment projects, has put forward a project plan before the Nigeria Minster for Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu, for a world class hospital, in Abuja. The hospital will have 1,687-bed, including 763 beds for a trauma centre, 300 beds for amenities care pavilion, 524 beds for a paediatric and 100 beds for a physiotherapy and rehabilitation section.
The hospital is estimated to be worth N100 billion ($650 million), and should reduce medical trips Nigerian take abroad yearly. Speaking on the project, Daniel Toledano, a rep for IBT Group said, “The objectives of the project include provision of the first level three medical care facility in Nigeria and to relocate high-complexity medical care to Abuja Medical City.”
