In the spirit of reminiscing on the events of the outgoing year, Google has released the list of the top Google search queries made on its search engine from all around the world. Going through the list evokes this feeling of nostalgia, allowing you to relive those memorable moments all over again.
The year in search list captures all of our favourite moments like the release of ‘Black Panther’ in January and the world cup 2018 that saw Nigeria as the best-dressed team. The world cup also took the spot for the most searched item globally. The loss of some very notable figures like theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, EDM musician Avicii, Global Evangelist Billy Graham, RnB & Jazz legend Aretha Franklin, and others of blessed memory were also in the list.
Bringing it home, we had more Nigerians searching for ‘How to write a Business plan’ and ‘How to write a CV’ this year. Looks like we’ll be having a lot of entrepreneurs in the coming months. Questions about politics and poll results also dominated the list. The death of Nigerian media personality – Tosyn Bucknor, was also searched about a lot.
Here is a top 10 list of what Nigerians searched Google mostly for in 2018
