Google recently launched an update to its Translate app for iOS and Android. Google Translate is a free translation app that provides instant translation between dozens of different languages. It can translate words, sentences and web pages between any combinations of supported languages. Google Translate works with over 100 languages, though not with infallible accuracy.
Previously, users have to switch to the Google Translate app or search for a translation on the web, but with the new feature, you can now translate text within any app. The feature allows Translate to automatically pop up inside other apps. After you’ve highlighted a text or phrase in a foreign language, you tap on the popup to read the translation. Also, you can translate from your own language to the foreign language your reading.
For iOS users, the Translate app comes with an offline support especially for when you’re travelling and you don’t have access to internet services and you need to translate words.
This update is especially useful to people who have to chat with foreigners, you can now chat with anyone from any language stress-free. Cool right?
