One major dread for city dwellers has always been traffic. Working class commuters rise quite early just in a bid to avoid traffic which isn’t always successful. Many persons have missed appointments, deadlines and have lost money as a result of unavoidable road traffics. It’s now possible to avoid traffics with Google Maps live traffic alerts.
Google Africa recently updated Google Maps with new traffic alerts and this is available in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.
What users have to do is just input their destinations to receive a spoken alert for upcoming traffic on their route. This helps them identify the quickest route available to their route. Also, when users on the road, Google maps gives a heads up if there is traffic ahead of them and how long it will possibly take to be stuck in the traffic.
In addition, users are given an option of taking alternate routes with an explanation as to why a particular route is recommended. Users should remember they have to put their Google Map app on navigation.
Now I can conserve my fuel and be able to meet my deadline. What a relief!
