Smartphone users always complain about how their mobile data zaps away in a matter of days (even when they spend all day viewing pictures on Instagram, ironic). Although data usage settings come with most mobile devices, you’ll have to manually set what Apps use data in the background and all that. But it’s quite convenient to have an app do all that dirty work for you. Google built a mobile data saving app called ‘Datally’ to monitor data usage on your phone and help you save as much as 30% more data than before. The app presents a convenient way to track, control and save data. Datally, displays your mobile data usage on an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis and gives personalized recommendations for how you can manage mobile data better. Google Launches Data Saving App - Datally You can control the mobile data usage on your device by turning on data saver on the app. This will block background data usage by apps that aren’t running in the foreground, and track real-time data usage for apps that are currently open and in use. Datally also alerts you when you’re close to a public Wi-Fi and helps you connect. This will reduce the pressure on your mobile data so it lasts longer. At the moment, the app only tracks usage for mobile data and not Wi-Fi. It’s available to devices running Android 5.0 and later. Follow this link to download.   Feature image: gisttrendz.net
