The Golden Eaglets will know their 2019 U-17 FIFA World Cup foes on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

The U-17 championship is scheduled to take place in Brazil and will kick off on October 26 and run through November 17, according to FIFA.

Alongside the 23 national teams that have ben confirmed for the global showpiece, Senegal will take the place of Guinea, U-17 Africa Cup of Nation finalists, who were disqualified for fronting two over-aged players.

The draw ceremony, which is expected to hold in Zurich, Switzerland, will see all 24 teams drawn into six groups of four teams each.

At the end of the preliminary rounds, the two top placed teams alongside the four best third-placed teams will advance into Round of 16.

The Eaglets grabbed a ticket to the global event following their fourth place AFCON finish, after a match against Angola.

History is on the side of the Nigerian boys, who have won the world championship a record five times and have finished runners-up on three occasions.

The Eaglets are a good team, but when push comes to shove, there is a whole lot the team must learn from their predecessors and their seniors, the Super Eagles and Falcons, before the can comfortably take on the world’s best U-17 teams at the world cup.
