GOLDEN-EAGLET

The Golden Eaglets booked their place in the quarter finals at the ongoing U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday when they dispatched their Iranian counterparts. Eaglets went into the game as Group F winners, with two wins and a draw in the first round. Musa Yahaya added a fourth in the second half before Ali Gholizadeh got a late consolation goal for the Arabs. The win sets up a date with Uruguay on Saturday, November 2nd in the quarter finals. The match will kick off at 4 p.m Nigerian time. Other teams in the round of eight are Honduras, Brasil, Mexico, Cote d’Ivoire, Argentina and Sweden.
