The Nigerian side, already showing too much intent for goal, had to settle for a 1-2 score line for the first-half. However, Nigeria’s Mohammed Ibrahim would start the comeback for the West Africans in the 79th minute with a brilliant header from Ibrahim Sa’id’s corner kick. Nigerian football fans did not have to wait much longer for a third goal after Oluwatimilehin Adeniyi sneaked in to head home a third goal for the African side in the 81st minute. A Samson Tijani freekick in the 86th minute was all Nigeria needed to secure a comfortable lead against the European nation.
