Avaya, a global leader in business communications that provide solutions directly and through its channel partners to leading enterprises around the world, is expanding to West Africa with an office in Nigeria and a soon to opened office in Ghana. Avaya’s services in Nigeria have been for years through dealers and partners but the presence of an office will foster adoption of its solution to Nigeria and the business environment. Speaking of the development, the Head of Avaya Africa, Hatem Hariri, said, Nigeria “harbours thousands of businesses and organisations and has one of the largest populations in Africa with close to 162 million people. The capital Lagos alone has a population of 7 million, which also houses over 100 international business and organizations. The Nigerian office will be the fourth office placed in Africa, following Kenya, Egypt and South Africa. It will also give Avaya an opportunity to expand and provide solutions to the West African market.
