Towards further safety for Nigerian road, the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has commenced a mandatory free eye test for prospective drivers throughout the country. This was acknowledged last week, by FRSC’s Public Education Officer, Jonas Agwu.
He said: “It is designed to give room for on-the-spot vision and screening and sight correction among drivers as part of strategies to reduce crashes”.
He also said the “visibility is one of the important ingredients for safety’’. There are 50 designated centers for the exercise nationwide and success of this may help further plans for existing drivers.
