First Book on Nigeria’s Dredging Industry to be Launched in October

The first book on Nigeria’s dredging industry will be launched at the 9th Nigerian Dredging Summit and Exhibition. The launch is scheduled to hold in Port Harcourt in October. The book titled “The Dredging Industry and Sand Mining in Nigeria: A Compilation of Papers and Presentations of the Nigerian Dredging Summit and Exhibition, 2007-2014”, is co-authored by Dr. Edmund Chilaka, Professor Adebayo Lawal and Dr. Charles Asenime. A press release signed by Dr. Chilaka, the national coordinator of the Nigerian Dredging Summit series, said that the book covered important areas such as harbor dredging, remediation of crude oil spill sites, sand mining and reclamation, pre-dredging surveying and the history of the River Niger dredging. The book which is published in two volumes will be launched by the Chairman of NAL-COMET Group of Companies, Chief Musa Danjuma.   Source: ThisDay Newspaper
