Google has made it easier for job seekers to view offers and vacancies right on the Google search page. Anyone doing a job hunt on Google search will now see actual job offers and opportunities as part of the search results and can begin exploring the offer immediately by following the link to any of the jobs displayed. The new job search experience is available to users in Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya.
Google announced the new job search experience last week at a launch event that held in Nigeria. According to Google Country Director, Juliet Ehimuan Chiazor, the new job search experience would be a key driver for connecting job seekers to open opportunities, helping more people to grow in their career and utilize their skill sets.
Job offers on the Google will contain info such as job title, location, duration (full- time, part-time or internship), as well as the name of the employer or company and site where the job offer is served from. Google Maps integration would help job seekers search for jobs from anywhere they are
Google is encouraging job sites, platforms and employers to integrate with the new experience and make their jobs and vacant roles available on the Google search page. They already have support for platforms like the Federal Government,
Jobberman,
NG Careers,
MyJobMag and other job resource websites in Nigeria.
