Nigeria’s U-17 team, the Golden Eaglets, have been drawn into Group B of the forthcoming U-17 FIFA World Cup scheduled to take place in Brazil from October 26 to November 17, 2019.

The Golden Eaglets have been grouped alongside Hungary, Ecuador and Australia, and are expected to begin they campaign at the global championship with a game against Hungary on the opening day.

In the next group B match, Ecuador will take on Australia on the same day, before Nigeria will do battle with the former on October 29. On the same day, Australia will take on Hungary before they face Nigeria in their final group game on November 1.

Former Super Eagles full-back, Celestine Babayaro, and Brazil’s Sonny Anderson, were the two FIFA legends and tournament old hands present at draw ceremony held on Thursday in Zurich, Switzerland.

Tournament host, Brazil, is in Group A alongside Canada, New Zealand and Angola.

South Korea , Haiti, France and Chile make up Group C of the tournament.

Group D consists of the United States, Senegal, Japan and Netherlands.

Spain, Argentina, Cameroon and Tajikistan are in Group E.

Solomon Islands, Italy, Paraguay and Mexico are in Group F.

The four best third-placed teams from the six groups will advance to the knockout stage of the tournament alongside the six group winners and six runner-ups.
