Commenting further, the minister noted that the highest premium service of the new platform will see citizens get their passports after just 24 hours of application.
‘It will also afford Nigerians the opportunity of getting their passports within 24hrs, at the high premium service, and 72hrs at the ordinary premium service, albeit with added value and a little bit of extra cost. A centre like this is necessary to reduce stress. Secondly, by minimising human contact, it eliminates the prospect of corruption.’ AregbesolaAside from ensuring convenience in the application process, the development is laudable as it will see Nigerians easily obtain passports when compared to the past when they had to go through a lot of stress in the process.
