Read more about NIN
It will be recalled that the government in December 2020 ordered Nigerians with NIN to link it up with their SIM cards on or before January 19, and gave Nigerians yet to get their NIN the grace of getting the process done on or before February 9, 2021. With this new development, every Nigerian whether you already have your NIN or not is expected to comply with the new deadline.

News of the government’s resolve to extend the deadline date was made public in an official statement released by mobile network operators (MNOs) on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
‘We have received formal confirmation from the NCC that President Muhammadu Buhari has graciously approved the extension of the deadline for subscribers with NIN to link it to their SIM registration data from January 19 to February 9, 2021. To ensure that we utilise the extension period judiciously, we urge all telecom subscribers who have a NIN to link it to their SIM cards through available channels as soon as possible. Those yet to enrol are advised to visit www.nimc.gov.ngfor a list of enrolment centres close to them.’ MNOFeatured Image Source: The Citizen

Why is MTN sending the same link your NIN to your MTN line message over and over again even after I have done it several times? I’m guessing it is an automated message, but it’s frightening and annoying.
