It is obvious that adult’s relationship with government is similar with that parents’ correlation with their children. Children solicit their parents’ attention when they need their demands to be met. It takes patience to listen and great skills to pretend that you are listening. The Federal government also tries to pay attention to the outcries of its citizens while meeting the infrastructural needs of the people as stipulated in the constitution.
Hence, it is no surprise that the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, Mr. Godwin Eke has announced the commencement of roads and bridges’ rehabilitation in Lagos State. While speaking with journalists in Lagos on Saturday, stated that some of the roads had become deplorable and requires urgent attention. He added that the Federal Government is determined to make the roads in Lagos and across the nation motor-able.
Eke noted that while some of the roads projects are completed, others are undergoing repairs. He insisted that roads that appeared not to have been captured in the plan are actually inclusive, therefore residents of the state should be very patient as the repairs in the state would definitely go round.
The list of the roads included are: Ijora Causeway and flyover, Funsho Williams Avenue, bridge to Alaka; replacement of one of the expansion joints on the Eko Bridge, among many others.
