  NI President Goodluck Jonathan approved the appointment of Mr. Peter Jack as the Director-General for the National Information Technology Development Agency. This approval came in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja which said that his appointment was for a first term of four years which is to take effect from April 7th. Peter Jack was until January 2007, a Director/Technical Assistant to the Director General, NITDA, a position he held for seven years. He designed and implemented the Niger Delta Youth Computer Training Program for Niger Delta Development Commission in 2003. He is a graduate of Chemical Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife and an MBA holder from the University of Lagos. He also attended the International Information Technology Policy Programme at the college of Engineering, Seoul National University, South Korea.
