The Federal Government is considering the use of alternative energy sources for electricity supply including renewable energy, The Nation news reports.
This was announced by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday while receiving a delegation of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC) led by its Director-General, Dr. Erepamo Osaisai, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The pursuit of other sources of energy is also being carried out in conjunction with efforts to improve power supply from the national grid.
“The long and short of it is that we definitely need a mix of energy choices because in the next decade such a mix will be imperative,” Osinbajo said.
