The very first FCV Gladiators Football Camp series have been scheduled to hold in Lagos and Abuja in April 2019.
The camps will be held in Abuja and Lagos in the coming month and will change the general narrative on football focused camps.
The camp, which is a product of Dynaspro Sports Promotion and Advanta Interactive Limited, is designed to redefine the concept behind football camps, with a little more focus on education.
Speaking to newsmen, the Chief Executive Officer, Dynaspro Sports Promotion, Oluseyi Oyebode, revealed that the much needed curriculum change is as a result of the sport’s agency’s new foreign partner’s direct concern for football development alongside proper education.
“It is a great beginning. For the first time, we are having a foreign partner that is so keen on education and football; that has been the missing link. We will encourage as many as possible to be part of the first camp so that they can have a taste of it.
“Today, we have a lot of our ex-athletes suffering because they were unable to manage their successes and finances. But in the camp, the kids will now have a new orientation on the importance of sports and education.”
The Lagos camp is expected to take place at the University of Lagos Sports Centre from Sunday, April 14, to Friday, April 19, while the Abuja camp will kick off from Sunday, April 21, and run through Friday, April 26, at Aduvie International School, Jahi, Abuja.
