Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must satisfy the following requirements:
- Citizenship of an FAO Member nation.
- Currently pursuing undergraduate/graduate studies, or have recently completed a degree.
- Applicant must be 21 to 30 years old when the internship commences (must start before the 31st birthday).
- Functional ability in at least one FAO official language (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian). Additional FAO language knowledge is beneficial.
- Strong communication abilities, cross-cultural flexibility, and fundamental computer proficiency.

Application Procedure:
- Monitor FAO’s Young Talent/Careers portal for the Call for Expression of Interest announcement.
- Submit your application through FAO’s iRecruitment platform, including:
- Statement of purpose/motivation letter
- An academic transcript or enrollment verification, or a diploma for recent graduates.
- Documentation of language abilities, where applicable.
- Only shortlisted candidates receive notification. Unsuccessful applicants must submit new applications for future opportunities
Financial Support: Monthly allowance up to USD 700 for self-funded interns; potential coverage for work-related medical needs. Housing arrangements are the intern’s responsibility.
