Amazing disport by the Nigeria U-20 Women’s football team, Falconets, has propelled Nigeria into the second round of the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
The Falconets on Sunday at the Dar es Salam stadium ceased Tanzania after the second leg of their matchup against the team ended in an onslaught leading to a 6-nil victory for Nigeria.
The Falconets in the first leg of their match-up defeated the Tanzanian side 3-nil, to make up an aggregate of 9-0.
Rasheedat Ajibade on Sunday took the first lot as she scored two goals in the 20th and 26th minutes of the game.
Folashade Ijamilusi made it 3-0 in the 35th minute and Anam Imo followed almost immediately with a goal to make it 4-0 before the end of the first half.
Ijamilusi put in another goal in the second half and substitute Cynthia Aku in the 83rd minute finished off with a clear goal to make it 6-0 in favor of Nigeria.
For the next rounds of the tournament, the Falconets will face off Morocco in Rabat for the first leg of their game on the 3rd of November and on 18th of the same month for the second leg.
