Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo scored a brace for his club Watford on Saturday to take his tally for the season to four. His goals were enough to see off a hapless Newcastle United team at St. James Park. Ighalo has now scored 20 goals since the start of 2015, more than any other player in England. Elsewhere, Victor Moses scored his first goal for new club, West Ham United on Saturday to earn them an emphatic 2-1 win at high flying Manchester City. Kelechi Iheanacho was brought on for the remaining quarter of the game but couldn’t stop Manchester City from succumbing to their first loss of the season. John Mikel Obi was a substitute on Saturday when Chelsea returned to their winning ways against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. However the game was marred by Diego Costa’s antics which prompted referee, Mike Dean to give Arsenal defender, Gabriel Paulista, marching orders. Arsenal finished the game with nine men after Santi Cazorla received his second yellow card in the second half for clipping the feet of Pedro. Peter Osaze Odemwingie returned to the Stoke City fold as a substitute in their 2-2 all draw with in-form Leicester City at the Britannia Stadium. Dele Alli started Tottenham’s home game against Crystal Palace in place of injured Ryan Mason and put in a great shift to show why he’s highly rated in England. Spurs won the game.
