The European Union has announced the appointment of Michel Arrion as its new ambassador/head of delegation to Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States. Arrion, who has served in Rwanda, Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire, replaces David MacRae, who recently completed a duty tour in Nigeria. Arrion has presented his letter of credence to President Goodluck Jonathan, and will assist with bringing the support of the European Union to Nigeria for aid, investments and partnerships.
