Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has been selected as the best keeper in Ligue 1 for the second consecutive season by French Newspaper, L’Equipe.
The 32-year-old was in outstanding form for Lille Metropole in the 2013/2014 season. However, Enyeama and Lille have had a nightmarish season so far that sees them languishing in bottom half of the table in 13th position.
Enyeama joined Lille from Israeli club, Hapoel Tel Aviv in 2011 but was loaned to another Israeli club, Maccabi Tel Aviv the following year as he struggled to cement his place in the starting line up.
He has played every minute of Lille’s 56 league matches since he returned from his loan spell in 2013. He kept 11 consecutive clean sheets during the first half of 2013/2014 season. Enyeama finally conceded a goal after 1,062 minutes of Ligue 1 football in an away game against Bordeaux.
Enyeama is amongst only four players who retained their place from last year. Others are Gregory Van der Wiel, Maxwell and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, all from reigning champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
