  Nigerian boxer, Efe Ajagba, continued with his impressive run of form on Sunday, September 20, 2020, after beating American boxer, Jonathan Rice, in Las Vegas. Ajagba who beat Rice with a wide unanimous points decision extended his unbeaten run to 14 wins. Fans did not get the knockout fashion of Ajagba which they expected owing to a hand injury but he did not fail to deliver victory. Prior to the fight on Sunday, Ajagba with his explosive power had beaten 11 of his opponents in the ring, but on this occasion, he chose to control his American opponent for 10 rounds with his stiff jab, which saw him earn 99-91, 99-91 and 98-92 verdict from the judges.

Ajagba, 26, recently made public his intention to fight fellow Nigerian boxer and World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua, for his numerous titles (WBA, IBF, WBO). He went further to note that he posses superior boxing skills than Anthony Joshua, something he believes is an edge for him if presented with the opportunity to fight Joshua. It is unsurprising that Ajagba is talking tough as Nigeria is notable for producing some of the finest boxers the globe has seen.
