The Super Eagles of Nigeria were forced to a 1-1 draw by Brave Warriors of Namibia in a FIFA World Cup qualifier on Wednesday at the Sam Nujoma Stadium Windhoek. Nigeria were almost made to rue the numerous chances they spurned when Namibia took the lead through substitute Deon Hotto- Kavendgi in the 78th minute but Sunshine Stars captain, Godfrey Oboabona saved Nigeria’s blushes with a well taken free-kick with 7minutes of regulation time left to play. Super Eagles now have nine points from five games, two more than their next opponent, Malawi who have seven points. The Eagles need just a point from their last game against Malawi on home soil to progress to the next stage of the qualifying series.
