A win in Benin City during the first leg on Friday, November 13, and yesterday’s draw could have guaranteed Nigeria an early spot at the 2022 AFCON in Cameroun, but both draws which translate to just two points out of six now leaves the three-time African champions with the need to secure three points from their last two games to book their ticket to Cameroun. Nigeria will face Benin Republic in what would be the Super Eagles’ fifth qualifier match on March 22, 2021, in Benin Republic, and would complete the qualifiers with a home game against Lesotho on March 30, 2021.
