The App guarantees its users, with or without credit as long as they are connected, help with just the click of a button. With the E-Alert App, you feel safer when you find yourself in impossible, distressing or dangerous circumstances. The features of this application includes a panic button that sends out alert in 45 seconds interval within your updated GPS location via SMS. Users can also programme a maximum of 10 contacts to whom alerts can be sent when they press the panic button. There is the ‘overprotective mother’ feature which sends out alerts when users don’t check in at a particular time. The E-Alert App is free for download on iPhone and Android while the BlackBerry version is set to be released soon. The application’s premium version with an improved user experience is set to be released soon. The E-Alert App will fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility by placing 10% of its profit into a scholarship fund. Beneficiaries of the scholarship fund will be derived from a social media competition on Vine and Twitter for students.
