D’Tigers Set to Tackle Tunisia

Nigeria’s basketball team, D’Tigers have been drawn in Group A with host nation, Tunsia and Uganda in the FIBA Africa Championship draws held at the weekend in Tunisia.

The fourth country to make up the group is expected to emerge from the wild card.

Angola, Mozambique and Morocco also await the final country from the wild card to complete Group B.

In Group C, Egypt will battle with Gabon, Mali and Cameroon.

Defending champions, Cote d’ Ivoire have been pitted against Cape Verde, Zimbabwe and an expectant team from the wild card in Group D.

The first phase of the tournament will be played in a round robin format, with every team taking on its three group opponents. All teams will then advance to the Round of 16.
