Digital Bananas technology’s hub launched on Friday the 6th of October 2017 and officially opened on Saturday the 7th of October 2017 at Onikan. In attendance was the Lagos State Commissioner for Science & Technology, Hon. Olufemi Odubiyi alongside the Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Hon. Musiliu Folami who came to officially commission the launch of the Digital Bananas Technology hub. According to Hon. Olufemi Odubiyi, it was an honor to have these honorable and distinguished government officials support an initiative that will empower Nigerians with the right digital skills and create thousands of jobs, adding value to the economy and preparing Nigerians for the digital age we now live in. Digital Bananas, a subsidiary of Career Insight has been running since 2012 in the UK and has been giving Nigerians in diaspora better job opportunities in digital project management and business analysis roles, paying up to the equivalent of N48m/year in the UK and Ukraine through its network experience solution. Keji Giwa, founder of Digital Bananas created the platform where people can gain practical work experience in digital project management or digital business analysis after being trained by the company’s team of digital project management and business analysis experts and has since recorded over 4,000 success stories showing evidence that Digital Bananas eWork Experience platform is efficient. Digital Bananas has the license to train and accredit UK and Nigerian delegates at diploma & masters level in digital marketing accompanying a practical work experience in delivering digital solutions following an accreditation by the digital marketing institute. The aim is to empower Nigerians with the right expertise and experience in digital transformation, CRM, digital marketing, cybersecurity, big data analysis, project management and business analysis which would give them the opportunities to compete internationally. Digital Bananas has also been creating jobs in marketing, sales and customer service in Nigeria with its Nigerian team made up of Nigerians living in Nigeria who assist prospective candidates and guide them through the process of joining the eWork experience platform.
