Journalists, Dele Momodu and Sunday Dare will join other new media professionals including the special assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on new media, Reno Omokri; political blogger, Japhet Omojuwa; rapper and label CEO, Eldee and others at the New Media Africa Symposium and Awards ceremony billed for March 7, 2014 at  the ballroom, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Regarded as Africa’s largest gathering of digital marketers, tech media professionals, bloggers, podcasters, web TV producers, and social business leaders, the New Media Symposium 2014 is believed to be a fantastic networking opportunity and celebration of Africa’s finest PR achievements. According to a statement made available to the press, the symposium will give room to discuss matters such as the origin of the Internet, surveillance, censorship, and the future of new media in Africa while also considering the future of Internet as a force for positive developments in Africa.
