Super Eagles defender, Danny Shittu has extended his contract with Championship side, Millwall F.C. The bullish defender recently put pen to paper on a new two-year deal with the 127-year old club.
The 32 year old defender joined the 2003 FA Cup finalist last summer and went on to make almost 50 appearances. He was quoted on the club’s website: “There’s been a couple months of talks and I’m delighted to have got it done. We have had a lot of ups and for me to be staying here shows that I believe in this club.” Shittu caused a stir back in Nigeria when he rebuffed Keshi’s invitation to the 2013 AFCON in South Africa to focus on his club career.
