In a move that will raise the stakes in the rapidly evolving Nigerian cement market, leading cement manufacturer, Dangote Cement Plc has announced its partnership with a foremost leading online platform, Jumia. This move is designed to reduce price and ease logistics that is closely related to the purchase of its products, the management has signed a deal that would lead to selling of cement to its customers online. According to a statement released by the Group Communications Department,  individuals and corporate bodies interested in purchasing the products of at least 300 bags of 50 kg of Dangote Cement can do so by ordering from Jumia at the comfort of their rooms at the price of N2,500 per bag as compared to the price it is sold on the open market at any place of their choice without any extra cost of transportation. Although while unveiling the deal in Lagos, Dangote Cement, Key Account Director, Chux Mogbolu, inserted that it can only be delivered in Lagos, Port Harcourt , and Abuja for now.  He added that Dangote Cement made a decision to work with Jumia Nigeria based on its credibility and excellent performance over the years in online shopping management and that the new initiative would help to fish out online fraudsters that scam and deceive people by asking them to purchase Dangote Cement for N1,000 per bag
