Nigerian national team captain, Ahmed Musa, has noted that rumours making the rounds that he is corona virus positive are false. Musa who plies his trade in Saudi Arabia entered Nigeria over the weekend in a private jet alongside Super Eagles team mate, John Ogu who also plies his trade in the Asian country, in company of some family members. As expected by orders of the government, Musa had gone into self-isolation before news started popping out that he tested positive to the global pandemic. The Nigerian winger spared little time before vehemently denying the reports on his Twitter handle.

It has come to my notice that certain individuals have decided to post about me testing positive to COVID- 19.This is a pandemic taking people’s lives in thousands so it is sad that some people want to use this to gain followers or views on their pages by spreading falsehood…or not because any of us have the virus. We are perfectly okay and have not tested positive to the virus. Please don’t fall for the malicious messages circulating about me or my family.
