The 4th edition of Connect Nigeria’s Writers’ Conference will take place on the 21st of September. This platform was created to encourage interactions and collaborations between aspiring and established writers. It is a Connect Nigeria corporate social responsibility initiated to help aspiring writers achieve their dream.

Connect Nigeria has been organising the Writers’ Conference since 2014. The past three editions have enjoyed the teachings of writers like Okechukwu Ofili, Adaku Ufere, Ike Nnaebue, Joy Isi Bewaji, Seun Salami, Efe Paul Azino, Adebola Rayo, and Eghosa Imasuen. Topics in The Business of Writing cover journalism, editing, publishing, screenwriting, spoken word, and blogging, and how to hone and monetize these skills.

This year, the Writers’ Conference is back with a bang. In The Business of Writing: Translating Writing into Money, attendees can look forward to how to be effective writers in a tech-savvy, highly competitive world. The conference has a wide range of speakers and they’ll include authors, scriptwriters, content creators, publishers, journalists and poets.

There will be workshop sessions for participants interested in fiction and poetry before the main conference. The workshops will take place from 8 am – 10 am while the conference will be from 10 am – 5 pm.

Participation is free. You can also follow the event on Twitter with the hashtag #CNWritersConference2019.
