Glitz and glamour were the order of the evening on Friday, at the Grand Ballroom of the Lagos Continental Hotel, as Lagos’ prime business elites gathered for the 2018 edition of the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce Annual Dance, and the inauguration of its 18th President, Otunba Oluwatoyin Akomolafe.
At the event which marked the close of a profitable business year for the NACC, Nigeria’s foremost information portal, Connect Nigeria, was bestowed with the 2018 Media Partner of the Year award, for its ingrained role in the chamber’s 2018 success story.
The NACC President, Otunba Oluwatoyin Akomolafe, recounted that across activities in the 2018 business year, Connect Nigeria, has been a model media partner of the NACC, and the special recognition award is just a token of the chamber’s gratitude.
The Chairman, Honeywell Group, Dr. Oba Otudeko, who was also the Chairman of the occasion, lauded the NACC for its continued contribution to the fostering of trade commerce investments between Nigeria and the United States.

The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, and the NACC’s special guest of honor, Mr. W. Stuart Symington, who was quite a delight to watch, reemphasized the support of the US government, in propelling bilateral commercial relations between both countries.
The immediate past president of the Chamber, Chief Olabintan Famutimi, recognized members and partners of the NACC, for making the 2018 business year a fruitful one for the body as he looked back on the chamber’s many achievements in the year.
An appealing combo of live music, good food and the right gathering, had the guests dancing late into night as the chamber celebrated its monumental feats in the year 2018.
