Clubhouse founders, Paul Davidson and Rohan Seth, had made public in January 2021, the social media company’s decision to work on Android smartphones. With the announcement of the Nigerian’s new position, we expect to get a release date pretty soon. Also, this news comes on the heels of the company’s success towards securing funding from venture capitalist firm, Andreessen Horowitz, in January. The funding which is reported to be in the region of $100 million equally boosted the app’s valuation to $1 billion. Launched in March 2020, Clubhouse has been available to iPhone users and designed in a way that users have to receive an invite to join the app. So far, the company boasts of over 10 million active users.
