The advent of technology has brought to light to a greater degree the inquisitive nature of man. Nowadays, with the click of a button, almost everything is available, you can be at places, read things and all what not. But this comes with some disadvantages, many untrustworthy individuals have capitalised on this desire to click on any and everything to defraud people, send viruses to people and perpetuate a lot of illegal activities.
The truth is that you mustn’t click on any and every link that you happen to come across especially when it’s an unsolicited link, email, receipts, invoices and quotes that you didn’t ask for and also when the link was diverted to your spam mail – for those not aware, any email in your spam mail most times are not safe and shouldn’t be opened except if you recognize the sender.
When you see a link that you’re not sure of its authenticity you can hover your mouse over the link, this should show you the destination address of the link and when its one you don’t recognise and you’re not sure of, please leave it be.
