Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho is looking to loan out Nigerian defender, Kenneth Omeruo for the incoming season.

The 19-year old signed on with Chelsea in 2012 from Standard Liege of Belgium but was immediately farmed out on loan to Ado Den Haag in the Dutch Eredivisie. Liverpool, Swansea, West Bromwich Albion are some of the clubs that have been linked with the talented youngster. Omeruo came to limelight at the 2013 AFCON where he kept the captain, Joseph Yobo, out of the team for most of the tournament. He continued his fine form for Stephen Keshi- led side at the Confederations cup in June until he was injured in the game against Uruguay. The injury and extended leave saw Omeruo miss Chelsea’s pre-season trips to the Far East and United States. Omeruo can play at right back and centre back but has a lot of players ahead of him in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. With the World Cup coming up next summer, a temporary move is the best option for the young lad.
