Cheki Nigeria, the country’s most popular cars website has announced the launch of its Android App. The App makes its website more accessible for users to search for cars to buy in Nigeria from their android mobile devices. The Cheki Nigeria app is immediately available in the Google Play store.
Launched in mid-2011, Cheki Nigeria website has rapidly grown in popularity to become the number one website dedicated to bringing buyers and sellers of cars together in Nigeria according to Alexa.com (the international web analytics company). Cheki.com.ng now has about 11,000 cars available for sale in Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna, Port Harcourt, Ibadan and other Nigerian cities. Cheki also has cars available for import into Nigeria from Cotonou, USA and Europe. Everyday approximately 10,000 potential car buyers visit Cheki’s website from across the country looking for cars to buy. With the launch of the Android app, potential buyers will now be able to search this growing inventory of cars from their android –powered mobile devices more conveniently from wherever they are. Users of Nokia, Blackberry and other mobile phones are also able to access the Cheki Nigeria website from their mobile phones by visiting m.cheki.com.ng which is Cheki’s mobile internet site that was launched last year. The Marketing Manager of Cheki Nigeria, Mr Stanley Ezeani said, “we decided to invest in an Android app because our customers have been asking for it. Increasingly in Nigeria, people find that mobile is a very convenient way to get things done online. When our customers want something, we try our best to give it to them. This is one such example.” Chairman of Cheki Nigeria, Mr Chika Nwobi, expressed his pleasure at the development saying, “the Cheki team has shown great responsiveness and innovativeness by launching this app so soon after launching the web and mobile sites some months ago.
