Channels TV Named Most-Watched TV Channel in Nigeria

The Association for International Broadcasting has said Channels is the most-watched news channel in Nigeria, despite having just 12% of the television advertising market in Nigeria.

According to the founder, Mr. John Momoh, the channel started with one camera, 15 staff members and one editing suite. Channels now employs 355 journalists and support staff who produce 24-hour programming, including News at 10, the flagship evening news show modelled on the BBC programme of the same name.

Now, having made Channels TV a household name in Nigeria, Momoh is on a mission to make it easier for Nigerians overseas to watch it. Since May, Channels TV has been available to viewers in the UK with satellite TV.

ConnectNigeria.com congratulates the Channels TV team and wishes them more success in future endeavours.
