Read more about the Economy
Here’s what he had to say:
Q: The economic situation globally is quite tough. What’s your take on how entrepreneurs and professionals can navigate these challenging times?
Emeka: The economic challenges we’re seeing globally, especially in regions like Nigeria, have made it clear that traditional employment and income streams might not be enough. Inflation, high living costs, and economic instability push people to think creatively. This is the time for innovation to rise, for people to look inward at the skills they already have and turn those skills into something valuable. One way to do this is by creating a minimum viable product (MVP) — something simple and easy to market, but effective enough to generate income.Q: You’ve created a program called “Build Your First Offer.” Can you tell us more about that and what participants can expect?
Emeka: Yes, the “Build Your First Offer” challenge starts on November 11th. You can think of it as a five-day accelerator or a mini-hackathon, designed to help entrepreneurs, coaches, consultants, and professionals get clarity on their skills and turn that knowledge into a minimum viable product (MVP). It’s an intensive, focused process where, by the end of the challenge, participants will have a fully developed offer they can sell online. Over those five days, I’ll be working closely with them to help select the right skill to develop, target the right audience, and craft the perfect messaging, all while leveraging no-code tools to bring their product to life. It’s a straightforward, hands-on experience designed to give people the tools and systems they need to build their first offer quickly and effectively.Q: Why is this challenge particularly relevant now?
Emeka: We are in a time where waiting for external factors—whether it’s an investor or a better job offer—just isn’t viable for a lot of people. Creating an MVP or an offer from your existing knowledge allows you to control your destiny. You don’t need a huge startup capital to create something that can generate income. What you need is clarity, guidance, and the right tools, which is what I aim to provide in this challenge. It’s about taking action now to build a foundation you can scale later.Sign up for the Connect Nigeria daily newsletter
Q: What sets this challenge apart from other business coaching programs?
Emeka: One unique aspect is the access participants get to Econome, a platform that provides over 3,400 software tools, many of which can be used for free for up to two months. These aren’t just any tools—these are premium tools that can help them build their MVP with ease. Additionally, Econome helps users track their subscriptions and expenses, which is a pain point for many entrepreneurs. We often sign up for tools, forget about them, and end up wasting money. The economy was built to solve that problem, especially for digital founders who are conscious of every penny spent.Q: It sounds like Econome plays a significant role in your challenge. Can you expand on that?
Emeka: Definitely. One of the biggest hurdles for digital founders is finding and affording the right tools. Econome is like a marketplace and a subscription tracker all in one. It helps people access tools that can help them build their products and businesses without upfront costs. You can get the premium versions of many tools for free for up to two months so that by the time you’ve built your product, you can start generating income before you even pay for the tools. That’s a huge advantage for anyone bootstrapping their business.Q: How can people sign up for the challenge?
Emeka: It’s simple. Just visit digitalfounderx.com—that’s ‘digital founder’ with an ‘X’ instead of an ‘S.’ There, you can register and learn more about what we’ll be covering. It’s not just about being part of a challenge; it’s about gaining access to the tools and the knowledge to turn your ideas into a profitable business.Q: What do you hope participants take away from this experience?
Emeka: I hope that by the end of the challenge, participants walk away with a clear product they can sell, but beyond that, they’ll have the confidence to continue building and scaling their businesses. This challenge is just the first step. Once they see that it’s possible to create something valuable from their existing knowledge, I’m confident many will take their MVPs and turn them into full-fledged businesses.Register to attend the CN Business Mixer
