President Muhammadu Buhari has concluded plans to send a supplementary budget to the National Assembly. According to Punch Newspaper, the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said that the Ministry of Finance has already prepared a letter to be sent to the National Assembly, suggesting a supplementary budget for the country. He also said the President was expected to sign the letter once he returns to the country from New York where he is currently attending the 70th United Nations General Assembly. Adesina said the supplementary budget, once approved, would then empower the Debt Management Office (DMO).
