British Council Future Leaders Connect Programme
The
British Council Future Leaders Connect Programme is a network launched for
emerging policy leaders.
It is available to a wide range of young people from different backgrounds who are willing to take hold of their leadership potential and become the world’s next generation of policy leaders. The programme is organized by the British Council, in partnership with the University of Cambridge.
As a member of the
Future Leaders Connect, successful candidates will travel to UK from the 22
nd of October to the 31 October, 2018, where they will be certified to discuss global challenges in the UK House of Parliament, meet inspirational leaders and visit world renowned institutions. The costs of travel, accommodation and meals will be covered by the British Council.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should be able to explain how they want to change their nation, and how it links to their vision for global change. They should also have an understanding about policy and be interested in learning more about policy making. Applicants should be in their early-mid career, between the ages of 18-35 and already have examples of demonstrated leadership.
Applicants must reside in one of the participating countries – Canada, Egypt, India, Mexico, Indonesia,
Kenya, Morroco, Nigeria, Pakistan,Tunisia, UK, USA – and be eligible to access a visa to come to the UK.
Applicants should be able to speak IELTS Level 6 or equivalent.
It is available to diverse groups of people with different levels of experience, ideas, and backgrounds, and also accessible for those with disabilities.
